Data Protection Officer - Leading Software Company

A leading software development company based in Dublin is looking for a DPO to manage their entire data protection function end-to-end. You will be working closely with the General Counsel and Director of Compliance, covering the EU and North America.

You will be expected in the Dublin office 3 days a week.

The Role:

  • Management and implementation of the group privacy program across their international entities.
  • Managing breaches, data processing, DSARs, DPIAs, and DPAs.
  • Updating privacy policies, cookie compliance, and legal notices.
  • Working closely with clients and employees to ensure compliance.
  • Design and deliver training for employees and contractors.
  • Define audit plans and assist internal auditors.
  • Remain up to date on all changes and developments in data protection legislation to assist the Group DPO.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Masters Degree in Intellectual Property, Contracts, or data protection/law.
  • c. 10 years experience in data protection/compliance/law (this is an approximate guide)
  • Minimum 5 years as a DPO, ideally an international company.
  • Confident working autonomously.
  • Extensive skills in stakeholder management and working cross-functionally with a variety of different teams.
  • Ability to work confidently with technical and legal teams.

Data Privacy Specialist - Leading Property Company

One of the most well-known names in real estate is looking for a Data Privacy Specialist to join their business on a full-time basis, to assist the current Head of Data Protection with the growth and development of their privacy framework. You will be able to have total oversight of privacy internally as well as the AI Responsibility framework.

You will be expected on-site 5 days a week, with the possibility of going down to 4 days on-site after probation.

Core Responsibilities

  • Acting as the company DPO to cover end-to-end EU GDPR compliance across the business.
  • You will be working on areas such as audits, risk assessments, DSARs, DPIAs, contracts, training, and policies.
  • Assisting with the development and implementation of AI from a governance/responsible perspective.
  • Overall oversight of the framework and privacy in general internally.

Expectations

  • 3+ years (approx) experience in a privacy role, ideally as a DPO.
  • Extensive knowledge of privacy and EU GDPR, and the laws/regulations.
  • Understanding and ideally practical experience working with AI.
  • Superb communication skills, you will be working extensively with stakeholders and other non-technical individuals in the business.
