Job Description

Role: 1st / 2nd Line Support Engineer

Location: Slough, Berkshire

Day Rate: £150 - £200

Inside IR35

Contract Length: 3-6 months initially

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

-Oversee software deployment services to all PCs and manage delivery to agreed Service Level Agreements

-Coordinate with supplier and consultants to implement changes and new solutions in accordance with SOPs

-Manage PC and Mobile device inventory and maintain asset tracking databases and processes in adherence to SOPs

-Engineer solutions to automate configuration of end user devices and installation of software

-Develop sustainable and supportable configuration management solutions using industry standard tools and practices

-Develop and deliver regular asset and configuration management reports, including inventory and service effectiveness data

-Troubleshoot complex Mobile and Personal Computer hardware, software and network connectivity issues

-Provide onsite, physical IT assistance to business users in a regulated environment

-Foster a culture of continuous improvement, identifying and providing ideas for simplification of services and solutions

-Work with business users to develop efficient solutions to improve business effectiveness

-Support and drive process development to standardize and embed service governance and system security

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

-3-5 years of systems experience with PC and/or mobile management

-Experience with Microsoft Intune and Windows Defender ATP

-Experience with configuration scripting and software installation packaging tools

-Experience with end user technology deployments and upgrades

-Experience providing hands on PC and mobile support to end users

-Experience in Desk incident management software

-Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
