Application Support Manager - London - Permanent - £50,000-£65,000 D.O.E

A London based FTSE listed business are seeking an Application Support Team Manager to lead the support function of their IT Shared Services Division.
The successful Application Support Manager will report in to the Enterprise Application Support Manager, and is responsible for leading and managing the Application Support team.

Role
The Application Support Team Manager will take full responsibility for managing a technical and functional in house team to ensure delivery of support within agreed SLA's.
Specific roles include:
*Managing an in-house Support Team, vendors and third parties to provide successful IT support.
*Resolution of incidents and problems acting as Incident Manager for high priority issues.
*Delegating responsibilities and assigning tasks to the Application Support team.
*Ensuring new services can be moved seamlessly into support, as part of ongoing transformation programmes.
*Surfacing and mitigation of IT risk and continual service improvement.

The manager will be self-motivated, taking ownership of issues to ensure they are resolved in a timely manner. They will be process orientated with excellent attention to detail, remaining calm and positive in the face of many, often conflicting demands. They will drive iterative improvement in the productivity and performance of their team and have a passion for innovation.

Requirements

The successful Support Manager will have experience of ITIL and must also be pragmatic and able to adapt to project needs as required.
There are a large number of applications this team supports but knowledge and exposure to SAP is essential.

Specific skills include:
*Prior application support management experience in a commercial environment.
*Proven ability to deliver consistent and effective IT support within a mulita skilled technical team.
*Strong communication skills, ability to liaise with all levels of Technical and Non-tehcnical stakeholder.
*Excellent understanding of SDLC across a variety of technologies.
*Experience of the following technologies is desired: Java, Oracle, SAP, Salesforce CRM, Informatica MDM.
*A relevant degree level qualification and ITIL certification is desired.
