Job Description

One of the largest public sector bodies is undertaking an extensive and ambitious enterprise-wide programme of AWS Digital Transformation and they're looking for talented AWS cloud engineers to join their team.


The location of the role is flexible depending on candidate preference, as the company have head offices in Liverpool and London you're free to choose whichever works best for you.The successful AWS Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that the companies AWS environments are proactively and effectively managed, and that data security is at the forefront of how services are designed and delivered. The aim of their digital transformation is to ensure the smooth and efficent migration over to AWS.

Key Responsibilities within the role are;
- To configure, Maintain and monitor all IaaS resources within AWS environments
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth implementation of new and enhanced services.
- Assist in evaluation, selection and implementation of new services and the potential migration of on site servers to external cloud servces such as AWS
- Keep abreast of cloud tech in the IaaS, Paas and Saas arenas. Specific focus on AWS


To be successful you'll need this skills;
-AWS Certified SysOps Administrator or equivalent demonstrable practical experience
-Experience with Terraform and Cloud Formation or equivalents
- 1+ years experience in building and managing AWS environments (including ECS, EC2, VPC, Postgres, ELB, S3 bucket services)
- Demonstrable knowledge of web application security and distributed applications
- Experience designing, developing and supporting AWS-based solutions in a production environment
- Effective and positive contribution as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Azure migration experience and Azure enviroment management.
