Big Data Engineer (Elastic)

Big Data Engineer opportunity with a multinational industry leading telecommunication organization. As the Big Data Engineer, you will be responsible and accountable for implementing, designing, and operating the Elastic Stack infrastructure. As well as this you will also be expected to provide help to the companies' security reams on all thing related to Elastic.
The Big Data Engineer will take lead on the constant progress of the overall set-up of the Elastic Stack platform and help write policies and infrastructure deployment in order to maintain best practice guidelines.

Responsibilities
* Responsible for the change management and configuration of the Elastic Stack platform.
* Accountable for the correct operational processes across the Elastic Stack infrastructure, defining industry best practices.
* Evaluate the new design methods and technologies to protect against existing and emerging security concerns.
* Engage with Security Architecture and Design teams to develop automated capabilities.
* Work as the matter expert for the Elastic Stack providing guidance and advice on technology.

Key Skills
* Extensive experience in design, management and maintenance of all solutions based on Elastic Stack.
* Previous experience of the management and maintenance of Apache Kafka.
* Experience in the containerization of security workloads using Cloud-based tools.
* Good stakeholder management capabilities.
* Excellent communication skills.
