C++ Software Engineer
Milton Keynes (Hybrid Remote)
£60,000 - £70,000

I have partnered with an award-winning organisation who specialise in developing hi-tech UAVs which are deployed across a number of key sectors. Their innovate drones provide great benefit to the world we live in by making a positive contribution to areas such as: Emergency Response, Healthcare, Disaster Relief, and Intelligence. They are now seeking an experienced Software Engineer with strong C++ programming skills together with a good understanding of object-orientated software design to join their team.

The successful C++ Software Engineer will take responsibility for the design and development of software for UAV-based products as well as integrating software into various other systems. The primary focus of the role will involve developing features on new applications alongside making enhancements to the existing systems.

Sitting within the UAV engineering team, you will collaborate with like-minded individuals who are all extremely passionate about this exciting field! My client is offering a Hybrid working model for their staff where you will be expecting to visit the office near Milton Keynes 1-2 a week (although this can be flexible). They also have a fanatic bonus scheme in place.

We would love to hear from you if:
-Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or an equivalent field.
-In-depth knowledge of C++
-Some exposure to Python Or Java
-Comfortable with multi-threaded programming in C++
-Ability to contribute to the architecture and design of the system
-Proficient in Linux based environments
-Comfortable working with embedded systems for hardware integration
-Ability to self-manage, whilst also being an effective team member and communicator
-Experience with networking

-Nice-to-have: Experience with UAVs, drones or autonomous robotics (or a genuine interest in these areas)
-Nice-to-have: Adhere to best practice with knowledge of Agile and TDD
