Job Description

Currently engaged with one of the Big 4 consulting partners who are looking for a C4E API Enablement Lead/MuleSoft Architect. A summary as follows:

Role: C4E API Enablement Lead/MuleSoft Architect

Start: ASAP

Duration: 6 months

Location: 100% remote working

Rates: £450 - £550 per day INSIDE IR35

Roles and responsibilities:

  • The API Enablement Lead is expected to proactively evangelise the API Lead approach/capabilities to the broader stakeholder community to ensure buy-in to the API message and to the notion of a data driven enterprise
  • As part of these communications, the API Enablement Lead is expected to provide thought leadership to business leaders in identifying and quantifying opportunities such as data monetisation, innovative customer-facing initiatives and automation leading to productivity and cost savings
  • Run regular information sharing clinics to socialise the benefits of APIs to create Pipeline for DevOps
  • To shape and define the API vision and objectives for a sizeable tech environment, ensuring API best practice, API service governance and delivering integration self-service enablement assets
  • A sound understanding of Enterprise Architecture - to bridge the gap between business and technical strategy
  • Experience of Agile delivery and ideally some DevOps exposure
  • Ensuring project requirements are balanced with strategic capabilities that result in improved overall usability and functionality provided by the platform
  • Regularly interacting with vendor product management to communicate on capability gaps/enhancements and provide business adoption KPIs
  • Ownership of the Platform Reference Architecture, which details the technical and application architecture of NWR's platform instances and re-usable common services
  • Builds internal intellectual property regarding platform features and roadmap, ensuring it aligns to business objectives
  • Advice, Consult and Onboard Self-service teams, Facilitates Self-serving teams to deliver better outcomes ,Supports Self-serving teams with continuous support, QA and guidance to clear governance gates
  • Must be able to articulate business benefits to business stakeholders but equally at ease communicating to technology specialists on a broad range of contemporary technologies covering cloud, infrastructure, security and development approaches
  • The API Enablement Lead should be a certified MuleSoft Architect who is responsible for ensuring the API-Led vision and roadmap is evolved and realised to meet the strategic objectives
