Cyber Security Specialist

Salary: £60-70,000 + 10-20% Bonus + Benefits

Location: London

Currently working with a multinational Financial Advisory firm who are looking to bring in a technical Cyber Security Specialist as they continue to evolve their internal Cyber Security capability. This individual will be the technical Cyber Security SME, managing the security monitoring and investigation tooling, leading the vulnerability management and remediation and ensuring the company is protected from unauthorised and malicious activity.

This is an incredible opportunity for a technical Cyber Security Specialist to join one of the most reputable Financial Advisory firms, work directly alongside the Head of Cyber Security to implement the Security strategy, and play a pivotal role in ensuring they are safeguarded against some of the most motivated and sophisticated threat actors out there.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the company is protected from unauthorised and malicious activity.
  • Ensure the effectiveness and maintenance of the cyber defence and security monitoring tooling, developing use-cases and automating where possible.
  • Act as the Vulnerability Management SME, leading in the identification and remediation of vulnerabilities.
  • Work closely with other areas of the business to translate technical concepts to non-technical audiences, explaining why certain controls are in place and need to be adhered to.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in identifying and responding to advanced attacker methodologies and external attack infrastructures.
  • Technical Vulnerability Management and Tooling experience.
  • Strong knowledge of various Cyber Security monitoring technologies (SIEM, EDR, Network Defence, etc)
  • Experience working in cloud environment (AWS and Azure in particular)
