Data Engineer - GCP

A client of ours - a leading blue chip company, are hiring multiple Solution Engineers to take a lead on planning and ensuring delivery of a release. These roles are part of the largest global digital transformation project, spanning 11 countries.

Role of GCP Data Engineer:

• Definition, design, and implementation of data transformation and acquisition pipelines for a given release
• Solution design for data transformation, orchestration and data integration solution on GCP for different transformation scenarious: daily batch, microbatches and realtime
• Deliver high level and low level designs, including infrastructure and security views
• Technical delivery planning and integration with programme management
• Accountable for end to end solution design

Experience required to be a GCP Data Engineer:

• Good understanding of GCP cloud platform or AWS
• Experience in CDAP, Google Data Fusion, Google Data Flow, Dataproc, Spark, Google Cloud Functions, Google Composer, Google PubSub, Apache NiFi, Kafka, Talend, ODI
• Good knowledge and experience with Application CICD implementations using: GitHub, Jenkins and Nexus
• Google Big Query
• Java and Python
• Must have commercial experience on large scale projects
