Excellent opportunity for a Privacy Manager to shape Global Privacy-by-Design for one of the UK's leading and most innovative internet/technology companies to be based in either their London, Edinburgh or Glasgow Offices.

The firm is a market leader in their field with a reputation for expertise and overall customer care by where they pride themselves in their unique proprietary technology. They have several offices globally with a culture built on a fun, yet challenging environment.

What does this mean from a privacy perspective?
A lot of global exposure and high-end tech! … Your role will help shape global privacy compliance promoting privacy-by-design and ideally you will have a strong understanding of the relationship between technology and privacy with the ability to 'talk tech' with engineers/security teams etc. to promote privacy as a business enabler.

What does the role entail?

  • Help shape global privacy compliance strategy
  • Build relationships with internal stakeholders to promote & advise the adoption of a privacy-by-design culture
  • Undertake Privacy Impact Assessments, deliver bespoke training and prepare educational materials to raise awareness & understanding of privacy across the business
  • Ensure transparency with customers, suppliers etc. about the collection & use of information by maintaining clear privacy/cookie policies
  • Maintain and improve existing processes for handling data subject rights
  • Maintain & develop data breach policies & processes
  • Monitor global privacy trends, technology & regulations to adopt best practice accordingly


What does the role require?

  • In-depth understanding of trends in the privacy arena, GDPR and data privacy best practices
  • Comfortable working with common industry tools to manage & review projects information (i.e. Jira and Tableau)
  • Excited to get to grips with the commercial & technical side of the product - have a strong understanding of the correlation between privacy and tech
  • Willing to travel nationally & internally when required
  • Ability to work independently and liaise with a range of stakeholders

  • Relevant industry experience (Internet/Technology/Fast paced environment)
  • Exposure to Privacy Internationally
  • Ability to thrive in a pressurised and changing area
