Salary - Circa £70-100k + benefits dependent on experience
The consultancy has an excellent reputation working with a strong calibre of top 5 clients across a span of industries. With 15+ offices worldwide from San Francisco to Hong Kong and plans for further global expansion, they truly are a global firm with their Privacy consulting centred in the Heart of London.
They have a dedicated focus on Data Privacy consulting that differentiates them from traditional 'top 4' consultancies along with a flatter organisation structure. You will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the industries leading privacy professionals, advising top 5 clients across a wealth of industries and dive into depths of a mix of privacy contexts around the 'grey zone' privacy matters of artificial intelligence, IoT (Internet of Things), connected vehicle technology etc.
This is not just on a national context but investigating across international jurisdictions throughout EMEA, APAC and the Americas.
Primary duties of a Principal;
*Ability to interact comfortably with Executive Management and Board Members of clients and regulatory authorities generally with a Managing Director.
*You will be acting as a client's point of contact for engagement delivery daily and acting as the primary Privacy Subject Matter Expert.
*Managing privacy specialist Associates, Analysts & Interns across the business in large-scale projects which will involve aspects of training/upskilling
*Travel will be required which can be local or span internationally and time spent travelling is typically at least 30%.
Knowledge, skills and abilities;
*Superior writing and editing skills with the ability to construct well-founded, clear, and concise analyses and recommendations.
*Strong attention to detail.
*Ability to lead and manage the day to day aspects of engagement activities and an ability to work with clients as a go-to Privacy SME
*Strong analytical skills.
*Ability to handle complex information, solve problems, and manage multiple tasks.
*A mindset to establish and maintain positive relationships and build teams.
*Strong reputation for integrity and ethics.
*Bachelor's degree or Legal Background (LLB or LLM)
*Privacy or information security designation or certifications will be a strong preference (CIPP, CIPM, CISSP. CISM, etc.)
*Ideally, you are a professional with a minimum of circa 6-8 years of experience relating to data privacy and information risk matters.
*Technical expertise and experience in compliance, risk management, corporate governance or legal or regulatory issues.
*Demonstrated experience in building and managing project teams to address complex issues in high-pressure situations.
*Track record working in an unstructured environment where engagement leaders are expected to identify and develop innovative solutions to client challenges.
