Excellent opportunity for a Data Protection Officer to take lead on Privacy & Data Protection for a Global Leader in the Gaming industry based in the Heart of London.

What does this mean from a privacy perspective?
There will be global exposure where the firm has a huge organic global audience across 150+ countries. There is a lot of diverse work amongst a mix of stakeholders in the business with a host of global third parties including game licence, mobile publishing & advertising firms.

What does the role entail?

  • Inform and advise the firm of GDPR obligations
  • Ensure new initiatives of implementing privacy by design
  • Aid in completion of Article 35 Privacy Impact Assessments
  • Negotiate DPAs and data sharing agreements with new partners/vendors
  • Monitor compliance with GDPR and continue training & awareness programme
  • Assist in implementation of OneTrust across the business
  • Act as first point of contact to assist in security incidents and the implementation of the security incident response plan


What does the role require?

  • Ideally, you will come from a legal background (with circa 3 years' + PQE as a solicitor) - reason for this is that the role may become more commercial on legal matters
  • A strong subject matter expertise of privacy law (IP law also valued)
  • A proactive personality with the ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication skills to work with a variety of business stakeholders
  • Ability to keep abreast with data protection developments on a Global scale
