Data Protection Officer / Privacy Lead - Multinational Professional Services business - Up to £110k + £5k car allowance + bonus/bens

A globally leading Professional Services business are currently looking to expand their UK&I Data Protection team through the hire of a Data Protection Officer. This is an excellent opportunity to take lead of a Data Protection team within an organisation that understands the critical role Data Protection plays within the Professional Services industry. Role responsibilities:

  • Lead the firm's UK Data Protection team
  • Informing/advising the firm with respect to its obligations under data protection law
  • Monitor the firm's compliance with data protection law, training staff on the matter, and conducting appropriate internal audits
  • Oversee the firm's DPIA process for the UK&I region and advising on high risk DPIAs
  • Act as the contact point for the ICO on any issues relating to the processing of personal data
  • Keep the firm's record of processing up-to-date (as required by Article 30 of the GDPR)
  • Collaborate with Legal Counsel at the firm to ensure contracts with all clients protect the firm
  • Support the sharing of best practice throughout the UK&I region

Requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge/experience of data protection legislation, at a leadership level
  • Ability to lead & manage a team
  • CIPP/E, ISEB Certificate or an equivalent industry-recognised data protection qualification
  • At least 10 years experience of quality/risk management/compliance processes, with a strong expertise with data protection
