Director of Data Science

Director of Data Science to mentor and grow the Data Science team, define data engineering requirements, support product and marketing through data and tools, and to build on the company-wide data culture. The Director of Data Science will join a rapidly growing, industry leading company.

Responsibilities
* Manage the day-to-day workload of the Data Science team
* Guide the technical product and engineering teams to support internal tools and services
* Communicate with other teams to define data requirements, skills and tool gaps and areas where Data Science can help the company
* Hands on Data Science work - developing models
* Key decision-making with senior leadership teams

Key Skills
* Extensive Data Science focused management experience, 5+ years ideally
* Excellent understanding of Data Science skills, that you are hands on with, preferably either Python / R and SQL
* Great communication skills, especially leadership capabilities
* Hiring and structuring of previous Data Science teams
* Experience developing junior and mid-level data scientists to improve and up-skill
