Job Description

Lawrence Harvey has been retained by an exciting and rapidly growing Pittsburgh, PA based company; focused on developing and producing advanced robotics equipment made for building and servicing a variety of high-profile aerospace clients.

One of their founders and current board members is one of the most well-known and respected roboticists in the industry who previously helped found Uber ATG. As well as boasting a world class team, this company was spun out of CMU robotics institute and still have regular collaborations with the university, as well as team members coming from UPenn’s GRASP Labs.

We are looking for a hands-on leader with a strong technical background, who enjoys managing teams whilst remaining highly technical and building robust robotic solutions. This role sits at the intersection of software and hardware and will have oversight of the whole robotics platform.

 

The ideal candidate will have a strong background similar to this:

  • Ideally 10+ years of experience with an Electronics background.
  • Robotics expert with Mobile Manipulation (Industrial Manipulators) experience being key as well as production experience.
  • Experienced with Sensors on the Hardware side.
  • Experienced with Mechanisms and Structure Design.
  • Exposure or understanding of C/C++ software.
  • Clean Sheet Design would be a cool bonus (Motors and Suspension)
