Front End Developer - Contract - 5 Months - Hampshire - £300-£350 per day

My client is looking for a Front End Developer to join its team in Winchester City Centre. The successful candidate will work in a multidisciplinary team, alongside researchers and developers, to deliver word-class, user-centred public services.

This role is within IR35.

Key Responsibilities:
* To understand the 'user needs' and context of the services you are working on to enable you to produce services that meet them.
* Build and test user-centred interfaces and transaction flows provided by user interface designers
* Working closely with User Interface Designers, create and iterate prototypes to test and communicate ideas
* Working extensively with User Interface Designers, Sitecore developers and content strategists to turn concepts into user-centred services
* Acting as a point of technical know-how for stakeholders and colleagues during meetings.
* Demonstrating developed work to colleagues and stakeholders where required.
* Debugging HTML, CSS and JS source code as required.
* Testing user interfaces, content templates, interactions and rich media following accessibility standards.
* Contribute to delivering web content by ensuring that front-end functionality can be managed effectively and consistently in the Content Management System

Key Skills and Experience Required:
* Experience working within IT and web development
* Ability to diagnose routine technical/business issues and contribute to their resolution.
* Effective communication & interpersonal skills, including written and oral.
* Ability to establish effective working relationships at all levels.
* Demonstrable interest in IT and computer literate with experience of using a variety of software:
* Experience developing web applications using HTML5, CSS CSS3 (including knowledge of CSS animation) and JavaScript
* Knowledge of the use of JavaScript libraries such as jQuery.
* Knowledge of XML and JSON.
* Evidence of web development work via an online portfolio of work
* Extensive experience of debugging source code
* Problem solving ability
* Knowledge accessibility online best practices.
* Able to work on own initiative
