Front Office Business Analyst - London - Charles River - 6 month contract

We are looking for a Front Office Business Analyst with CRDv9 experience, the successful candidate will have experience in..

You will be expected to:

  • Have an excellent understanding of CRD v9, being able to demonstrate conceptual changes, present them and then implement them within the team Scrum.
  • Have a strong understanding of financial products used in Asset Management including Fixed Income and Derivatives.
  • Take a hands-on, methodical approach to identify and resolve issues.
  • Be able to work on your own initiative, be self-motivated and to take on responsibility for solution delivery.
  • Liaise with the wider technology teams to coordinate interdependencies and resolve issues.
  • Produce quality test plans and manage all aspects of system and user testing.
  • Have experience of working on front office projects utilising either Waterfall or Agile methodologies.
  • Take responsibility for changes assigned to you, including facilitating the required meetings, obtaining sign off of acceptance criteria and managing to implementation.
  • Identify resource requirements based on prioritised work to head of front office change team.
  • Manage or work as part of a team dependant on the workloads.
  • Manage risks and issues effectively with timely escalation to the Product Owner and Head of Front Office Change.

Essential:

  • Experience of working with Modelling, OMS and Trading systems including expertise of Charles River and Manager Workbench (i.e. at least 5 years' hands on experience of working as BA on CRD).
  • Experience of leading the analysis process: from requirement gathering, writing test cases, implementation, sign offs and presenting demos to business
  • Experience of implementing Manager Workbenches, Blotter configurations, workflow rules on CRD v9
  • Strong background in the financial industry, coupled with experience of the technologies used to support this function.
  • A strong knowledge of financial products used in Asset Management including Fixed Income and Derivative instruments.
  • Previous experience of managing / implementing change within the front office. Agile experience is highly favourable but not essential.
  • Experience of the data technologies required to support the business.
  • A delivery focussed approach and attitude, and strength in managing and driving change.
  • An expert understanding of the investment life cycle.
  • A solid appreciation of the securities and instruments used in modern fund management.
  • A strong, analytical mind, comfortable working on complex problems both on strategic and tactical level.

Advantageous:

  • Past experience of CRD upgrade and/or migration
  • Experience of assuming a lead role in implementing a new asset class in CRD end to end
  • Experience of a significant STP project within the asset management industry.
  • Experience of electronic trading methods and systems.
  • Experience of implementing change on modelling systems, especially Fixed Income and OTC
  • Experience of the typical infrastructure components and data architectures that support investment management systems.
  • Proficiency in SQL, sufficient to analyse data and investigate stored procedures written in Transact SQL.
  • IMC or similar professional qualification.An understanding of messaging technologies used for the communication of transactional data to 3rd
