Full Stack Developer

The IT Digital Business team is part of the Global Digital Technologies department. The mission of the IT Digital Business team is to enable agents, clients and partners to connect with Chubb business services when and where they want, using the digital channels and devices of their choice. This position will have responsibilities to develop and maintain digital solutions to meet customer needs. The position requires someone with vast experience in every phase of the user experience lifecycle, inclusive of UI technologies.

Responsible for design, development, testing and deployment of complete web/mobile applications in a fast-paced agile environment. Problem solver and an expert at troubleshooting and implementing creative solutions to deliver on our digital strategies and objectives.

Primary Job Responsibilities:
Be a hands-on developer who will spend up to 100% of their time in the codebase, and deliver on projects and business priorities.
Design, develop, test and deploy web apps and user experiences for our customers, partners and employees
React to and lead shifting priorities without compromising deadlines and team momentum.
Work in a team as an individual contributor
Design and implement RESTful APIs
Design and implement an user interfaces (UI) with reusable widgets with Unit and integration tests for the APIs and UI, Perform Code Reviews, Setup Continuous Integration etc.

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:
Full Stack Engineer with 5 years of extensive working experience in all components of web application development including front end, Services/APIs and databases using multiple languages, frameworks
Experience in developing apps in Cloud Platforms such as Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services
Deep understanding of object oriented principles and design patterns
Experience with building scalable PWAs (Progressive Web Applications).
Experience in web application development resiliency and performance.
Proponent of Agile methodology.
A B.S/M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Deployment tools
A strong passion for learning and adapting to new technologies
Must be familiar with large & complex systems, highly transactional online systems and performance architectures

Technical Expertise:
Hands on technical experience on Front End (client side) technologies like HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, Less/SASS, MVC, And Responsive Web Design.
Experience working with JavaScript/CSS frameworks like Bootstrap, Foundation.
Experience working with Angular2+ concepts such as services, pipe, routing and Http with Observable.
Experience working on CSS Preprocessors such as LESS and SASS along with JavaScript task runners like Grunt and Gulp JS.
Experience in working with templating engines such as jQuery Templates and handlebars.
Experience working in Waterfall and Agile/Scrum environments.
Experience with Git and GitHub.
Experience debugging scripts and elements using browser's developer tools.
Experience working with Jira is a plus.
Insurance experience is a plus
Good knowledge of REST, MS Azure Platform, Web Services, Application Infrastructure.
Good knowledge of Scripting, API Management, Micro Services, Containers
