Job Description

Exciting opportunity to join a leading FTSE 250 financial services company in London as a Data Privacy Manager on an initial 12 month contract through their GDPR programme.

Key Responsibilities:
*Implementation of data privacy and security processes across the organisation
*Privacy focused reviews of new projects and to promote awareness of privacy standards and requirements
*Design, develop and deliver data privacy and security training programmes
*Educating third parties on group privacy requirements
*Measuring and tracking privacy activity and communicating privacy status
*Working with Risk, Legal, IT and across the organisation to maintain the requisite understanding and awareness of current and future regulations
*Informs and advises employees of obligations to comply with the GDPR and other data protection laws
*Responds to individuals whose data is processed (via subject access requests)
*Fosters a data protection culture within the organisation, implementing essential elements of current protection laws such as GDPR
*Ensures a compliance program is designed incorporating all lines of defence with features such as: Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), regular audits, policy reviews and updates, and training and awareness-raising programs
*Works with Procurement to audit supplier arrangements and procurement contracts to reflect the regulatory privacy data processor obligations

Required Knowledge:
*Data protection laws and regulations
*Worldwide data protection regulation, law and practices. In particular, an in depth understanding of the GDPR
*Operational aspects of data protection including privacy practices such as impact assessments, handling data subject's requests etc.
*Corporation's processing operations and insight into how to best apply data regulation

Required Experience:
*Expertise in national, European and International data protection laws and practices and in-depth understanding of the GDPR
*General regulatory compliance
*Substantial experience within Data compliance such as EU GDPR
*Demonstrable track record of working with Information Governance frameworks
*Experience of working through financial services markets.
*5 years' experience delivering privacy in-house.
