Excellent opportunity to join one of the most exciting GDPR programmes for one of the UK's leading brands as a Solutions Architect based in the Midlands area on a 3-month initial contract to start ASAP.

Rate - £550/580 p/day

The Opportunity

This role supports project development by identifying, developing and delivering IT solutions to enable resolutions to specific business issues that relate to GDPR compliance gaps. With ultimate responsibility for all aspects of the GDPR IT Solutions Delivery, this role will also ensure application design is aligned with the Architectural strategy and standards.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

*Responsible for leading GDPR technical design effort and ensuring delivery to agreed milestones.
*Accountable for ensuring alignment of solutions to GDPR compliance gaps
*Responsible for leasing with the existing IT teams to ensure alignment and adherence to standards.
*Translate high-level business requirements into system design within the existing system architecture
*Oversee the development, test and maintenance of code as dictated by project requirements
*Informs and drives the direction of architectural deliverables while maintaining and distributing architectural development documentation
*Identification and management of the resources necessary for all stages (planning, estimation, execution) of individual systems development projects to ensure technical, financial and quality targets are met
*Provides oversight and guidance on complex software design activities and modification
*Oversee the construction of Proofs of Concept and assess their viability, to support Minimal Viable Product (MVP) development as part of an agile customer development process
*Evaluate and provide feedback on available and emerging technologies to determine the potential impacts and business value
*Responsible for driving implementation of corporate IT Management initiatives aligned to Projects
*Management of all supplier commercials, where external suppliers are used to deliver projects
*Collaborate with the IT Management community and Project Management counterparts on the project team (architects, developers, network planners, strategists) to ensure IT solutions technical details that feed into the overall requirements for the project are clearly determined
*Plans, directs, and co-ordinates activities to manage and implement interrelated projects from contract/proposal initiation to final operational stage; plans, schedules, monitors, and reports on activities related to the projects or programmes
*Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
*Previous experience in delivering IT Solutions delivery at a management level
*Procurement of IT
*Full lifecycle development, testing and launch of Web-based Intranet SQL applications.
*Classic ASP, MSSQL server 2000 including Stored Procedures, Javascript, VBScript, CSS & HTML
*IIS, XML, XSL, VBA, Photoshop, cross-browser development skills (IE & Firefox), Microsoft Excel
*Excellent IT Project Management experience
*Good analytical and problem-solving skills
*Degree or relevant equivalent experience preferred

*International experience ideally working for Blue-chip organisations
*Good understanding of enterprise-wide GDPR considerations.
