Global Head of Information Security

Salary - €110-130k + Bonus + Benefits

Location - Berlin

I'm currently working with a Unicorn Tech Scale-Up who are looking for a Global Head of Information Security to take ownership of and build out their internal Information Security and IT estate.

Reporting directly into the CTO, you'll be responsible for both IT and Security, managing a team of 6 currently with plans to build this out substantially over the next 12-18 months.

The IT department is self sufficient and the foundations have been laid within security, but they are looking for someone who can work with the CTO to really set out and drive the wider Information Security and in doing so get them on their way to complying with ISO27001 standards.

This is a really interesting role within one of the fastest growing Tech Scale-Ups in Europe who have already received over $1billion in investment. This is a pivotal hire for them, where you would be collaborating with the wider C-Suite and most likely progress into a CIO/CISO position within a 12-18 month timeframe.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the CTO in the setting out and delivery of the Information and Cyber Security strategy.
• Ensure all areas of the business are compliant against ISO27001 (and SOC2), putting policies and procedures whilst also leading the implementation.
• Line management of direct reports, providing leadership and mentoring, career development and objective setting.

Key Requirements

• Proven experience managing and driving high performing Information Security teams.
• In-depth knowledge of multiple information security management frameworks - ISO27001 in particular.
• Breadth of knowledge across multiple technical cyber security disciplines and ensuring they are compliant against GRC focused Information Security principles.
• Excellent ability to engage with different areas of the organization and translate technical concepts into business risks.
