Head of SOC

Location - Portsmouth

Salary - £90-100k + Bonus + Benefits

One of the most established and advanced multinational Aerospace and Engineering firms are currently looking for a Head of SOC to lead their internal cyber defence capability and continue its development and growth into a best in class cyber monitoring, detection and response capability.

Within this role you, you will be taking over an already established and advanced SOC function, with experienced Analysts and Senior's in place; but with the remit to take it that next step further and continue the adoption of XDR solutions and more proactive cyber threat hunting concepts.

This is genuinely an incredible opportunity for an experienced SOC Manager to join one of the most reputable Aerospace and Engineering firms globally and be afforded the freedom to build a best-in-class, proactive Security Monitoring, Detection & Response capability capability and really take ownership of it.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the SOC capability, responsible for delivering advanced monitoring and detection services.
• Act as a technical mentor and escalation point to the more junior members of the SOC, helping to identify opportunities to automate and streamline investigation processes.
• Continue to develop the SOC's functionality and evolution into a proactive monitoring, detection and response function.

Requirements

• Significant experience working within an internal Advanced SOC environment, having progressed through the ranks as a technical escalation point.
• Proven experience managing teams and developing the capability of a SOC.
• Experience working in public cloud environments.
• Eligibility for DV Clearance.
