Job Description
HDP - Linux- Infrastructure- DevOps- Kerberos- HDFS
I am currently looking for a specialist Hortonworks Hadoop Aministrator to undertake an initial 3-6 month contract in Central London on a renowned Big Data Project.
You will act as the HDP SME in the project helping with upgrades, installations, troubleshooting, configurations, monitoring and more. A HDPCA certification would be highly desirable.
Scope:
- Troubleshooting issues on the cluster: Spark, HDFS, HBase, Solr, Hive, etc.
- Support our users: guide them so as they use the platform in the best way.
- Work on automation (DevOps), monitoring, reporting around the platform.
- Upgrades in Hortonworks Data Platform (HDP). Real world management of the HDP platform (Metrics and provisioning Tivoli type monitoring.)
- Experience of secured HDP (Kerberos/LDAp Integration etc)
- Look into new components/services. Do bake-offs based on a set of criteria's, present the results to the team, and eventually install/configure one ready for full production (including monitoring, documentation, HA/DR/backup strategies, knowledge handover to the team, etc.)
