Role: IDMSX DBA
Contract Length: 9 months
Day Rate: £600-£650
Inside IR35
Location: Newcastle, Blackpool, Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield or London

About the Role:
Integrated Database Management System (IDMSX). As an IDMSX DBA you will be responsible for the management and maintenance of critical national infrastructure within our VME Estate. ou'll be working in the DBA Capability Engineering & QA Practice but provides leveraged services to IT Service Management and other areas of the Business.
As an IDMSX DBA, you will be primarily responsible for the ongoing maintenance and support of a series of IDMSX- based production, pre-production and disaster recovery databases, but will also be involved in design and build activities to support projects and programmes.

Minimum Requirement:
In depth experience in the administration of IDMSX
-Proven experience working as a Production DBA supporting:
-IDMSX principles
-IDMSA physical/logistical structures
-Data manipulation language
-Data compilation/retrieval
-Proved experience of impacting, testing and applying patches and version upgrates to IDMSX/COBOL databases
- Extensive experience in performance tuning at the database and application level
- Strong experience with VME environments with skills in SCL System Control Language and OMF Object Module Format
