Java Team Lead / Java Development Lead sought by Financial Services (non banking) business based in the heart of Canary Wharf. Managing a team of onshore and offshore developers we want you to be the champion of the Java development team within it's customer base. Being able to write great Java code is definitely part of the role but we're looking for someone who wants to develop their soft-skills as well as their coding and architecture ability within Java. Whilst this is a Financial Services business we work in a mature environment where our team are encouraged to pick the hours that work for them.

Java Team Lead / Java Development Lead

• Proven experience writing web-based applications in Java
• Team or Java project lead experience
• DevOps or CI/CD practices
• SQL, DBMS or DB2 experience
• Messaging middlewear i.e. IBM MQ
• Your team work in different regions across the globe so any experience managing regionally different teams would be great.

We have loads of challenging project work ahead including a major Microservices migration that we'd like this role to lead. The role is based in canary Wharf when COVID allows, some home working inline with our flexible working patterns will be offered.

Pay is £80,000 - £95,000, we think we're a fun bunch and we're looking for a like-minded person to lead our critical Java Development team.
