Junior DevOps Engineer (REMOTE)

A leading Pharmaceutical company is looking for a talented Junior DevOps Engineer to help deliver a dynamic range of solutions using the latest technologies approaches and innovations. This is a brand-new position within the team due to the creation of a digital transformation department to help bring them into the 21st century digitally and automate their infrastructure and systems.

Reporting to the Head of Development and part of a team of 5-6, this role supports development, commercialisation, support, and strategy in developing the companies stable of products & services. The role will encompass a broad spectrum of cross-functional working to ensure that products meet the customers' needs and grow value for the company.

The right candidate will have a passion for learning using this exciting opportunity to develop their understanding and skill of the digital sector. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to part of a fast-paced, agile start-up with the opportunity to experience multiple disciplines and future development.

You may not be an expert in all these specialisms, but you will have a passion or understanding of software engineering. You will want to learn and develop your skillset working alongside internal teams. You will be working with cloud, Internet-related technologies, protocols, and languages along with lean/agile development techniques and DevOps culture all working as part of a team.

This role is home-based, with their head office in London and signed off between £30,000 to £35,000 with 25 days holiday + bank holidays and a standard pension.

To be considered:

  • Minimum 2 years of commercial experience with AWS, AZURE or GCP.
  • Cloud DevOps expertise.
  • Experience using configuration management and automation tools, one or more of the following: Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, Chef, CloudFormation or an equivalent.
  • Must have a proven track record delivering automated solutions and integrating automated test suites into a full CI/CD solution.
  • Proficient in a programming language: Python, TypeScript, React or an equivalent.
  • Self-Motivated with strong written and verbal communication skills.


  • AZURE Certification.
  • Good containerisation skills.
