Kubernetes Platform Engineer - 6 month Contract - London

The Role

The client is going through an exciting period of growth and transforming the way they run and build platforms. As part of this transformation the client are looking for a highly skilled DevOps/Linux Engineer to join an already expanding team who can act the Kubernetes/Container platform.

The responsibilities of the role include

Owning the design, build, monitoring and expansion of the platform to help deliver a fully featured and secure platform on top of which the business can deploy any application including trading critical components ensuring the rest of the Linux engineering team can help run both Test and Production environments working closely with various Development and SRE teams to help define standards, best practices and aid migration and on-boarding of micro-services onto the platform.

The ideal Candidate

It is essential that you have experience of the following:

Docker Containerisation management and Product ion deployment experience using Kubernetes, Swarm, Mesos or similar Configuration Management - (Puppet, Ansible, Chef etc).
Microservices Strong Linux Engineering /DevOps background - Redhat/Centos
Full stack platform infrastructure: Hardware SDS (block and Object) SDN Passion for OpenSource Coding/Scripting - (Python, Groovy, Ruby. Bash)
Technical experience to build high performance, scalable and resilient infrastructure and solutions Strong problem solving skills Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences Solid stakeholder management and verbal/written communication skills.
