Role: Network Engineer

Office location: Reading

Salary: up to £45,000 + Benefits

A well-known company operating in the hospitality sector are on the search for a Network Engineer to join their growing IT team. Based in Reading, this role is office-based with occasional opportunity to work from home.

The Network Engineer will be responsible for the company's IT Services and Networks, improving communication systems, and maintaining active networks. You'll be supporting IT Security Teams, looking after the system security and backing up the IT Systems. Keeping up-to-date of latest technologies and methodologies will also be key as you'll be expected to recommend system improvements.

Experience and Knowledge
You will be someone who is self-motivated and focussed. You will demonstrate initiative and ownership. You value others and their contribution and enjoy working collaboratively with colleagues. You will be flexible and adaptable to change. In addition, you will have many of the following skills:

• Excellent understanding of network technologies (LAN / WAN), switching, routing, VLANs, VPNs, telephony systems, and remote access.
• Demonstrable working knowledge & experience in Firewalls
• Network troubleshooting skills including packet capture and analysis
• Strong understanding and significant experience in installing, configuring and managing virtualisation technologies, including VMware vCenter and Citrix
• Understanding of cloud-based wireless and wired network management solutions
• Experience of administering Office 365 (including Microsoft Teams)
• Experience of administering Azure
• Backup and Disaster Recovery management experience

• Appropriate academic or industry qualifications / certifications
