Role: PostgresSQL Database Specialist

Location: Remote - but the candidate must be based in the UK

IR35 Status: Inside

Day Rate: £650 - £700

Contract Length: 3 months + extensions

Core Purpose of the Role:

Post holder is recognised as being an IT Lead expert responsible for providing expert advice and training to colleagues, third parties and the wider business on Postgres SQL.

The role is responsible for availability, security, maintenance, active monitoring and performance enhancement of a number of business critical solutions for the whole organisation and its customers and will be responsible for delivering an excellent range of DBA services that will allow the business and its customers to benefit from the database technologies.

Responsibilities:

-Analyse the needs of the organisation and the types of information required to meet those needs.

-Create the structure for processing data through software and hardware. Test developments on a limited set of information to ensure they function efficiently before releasing them for company-wide use. Maintain a constant attention on security matters during all tasks.

-Postgres Database skills - acting as an SME/Expert, the client is looking for someone who has extensive experience with Postgres SQL.
