Project context, role description and required capabilities:


Project Context:
Client is planning to use a/multiple box creating/folding machines (Pack Size) in the Genk warehouse in order to generate picking HU's on demand.
This project therefore focusses on the technical integration of SAP EWM with the Pack Size environment and in particular the distribution of WO's to the pack size system and the processing of the cubing results replied to SAP EWM.
A high-level design concerning the number of interface messages, the front-end changes to trigger and follow-up etc has already been pre-discussed with Client IT but still needs to be completed and finalized against the Pack Size detailed requirements.
In order to assure operations at all time, Client additionally wants to have a fully working fallback scenario in place as well as a mechanism to gradually roll out the use of the pack size machines one picking-queue at a time.

Functionally:
Align with Client IT and Pack Size to finalize the high-level design and fill in the gaps
Write a solution/functional specification document
Delegate and overview tasks of on-site junior resource and AMS development team
Manage the day-to-day execution of the project
Organize unit and integration tests where necessary involving Pack Size

Technically:
Capable of debugging and analyzing required technical components (function modules, methods, …)
Writing of the technical specs and alignment/handover with the offshore development team
Familiar with IDOCs (custom IDOCs will have to be created for the data exchange)
Familiar with enhancements of the warehouse monitor (as a main frontend for follow-up and distribution of work towards the Pack Size environment)
Familiar with basic reports (eg for the creation of basic selection reports to be scheduled as a job)
Familiar with the PPF framework (optionally the alert monitor to allow for follow-up of failed IDOCs)
