You will have at least 2 years experience of being a Scrum Master; ideally helping to implement or improve processes. A pragmatist, you will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, able to build trust at all levels.
Job Description
Responsible for facilitating our Sitecore Development team in their Agile development of our new CMS platform. Responsible for overseeing 2 scrum teams, you will be experienced and skilled at using Scrum Agile processes to get the best out the team and ensure effective development to meet the business need. Working closely with the Sitecore Product owner and the Development Manager, you will assist in the organisations development of an effective Agile development process, taking a pragmatic and outputs based approach.
You will be responsible for:
Guiding the team through the Agile development processes to ensure they are as productive and effective as possible
Continuing to increase the maturity of the team and organisation at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable
Removing impediments to progress by facilitating discussion, decision making and conflict resolution
Being an effective communicator and negotiation to both facilitate progress and remove blockers. Building on this to ensure that internal and external communications are effective and increase transparency on the Agile process
Building a trusting and safe environment for the development team where problems can safely be raised and resolved
Supporting the Product Owner, in particular in the area of refining and maintaining the product backlog
Essential Experience
Being a Scrum Master for at least 2 years, using Scrum Agile methods and practices, in particular in maintaining the product backlog, running sprints and sprint planning, facilitating retrospectives and show and tell, reporting on sprint progress through burn down charts
Leading, guiding and empowering a multi disciplinary team not expert in Agile and coaching them in the process and required behaviours.
Experience of taking a pragmatic approach to moving forwards in a large organisation, adjusting processes and methods accordingly
Experienced at managing software development, in particular around, code management, handling bugs and defects, integration with release management
Overseeing of in sprint testing
Excellent communication and mentoring skills
Desirable Experience
Public Sector
Sitecore or CMS development
Agile tools in Team Foundation Server or Visual Studio Team
