Job Description

Lawrence Harvey is working exclusively on behalf of a Leading Multinational Technology company based in the South West to recruit for a Senior Data Privacy Advisor to join a fast expanding privacy function coming into late 2018/early 2019.

Salary - £60-75k + Benefits

Such projects include the manufacture of Electric vehicles, leading B2B products and commercial household goods where you will play a key role advising on privacy around connected vehicles, Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things (IoT). Accountabilities
*Act as a Subject Matter Expert, providing prompt, professional advice to colleagues where necessary
*Maintain and enhance privacy compliance requirements with the global organization.
*Support periodic review of applicable data protection policies in light of changes in laws, regulatory or organizational policy.
*Support data protection compliance reviews and oversee remediation activities.
*Support monitoring of system/processes development for privacy and data protection compliance.
*Support and the maintenance of vendor privacy due diligence and contractual safeguards.
*Monitoring and evaluation of evolving laws, rules, regulations and guidance to help maintain compliance and strategic alignment.
*Pro-actively conduct data protection impact assessments
*Responsible for timely processing of data subject rights requests and complaints
*Collaborate with a wide range of colleagues across the firm, including providing SME support to day-to-day queries
*Lead on BAU activities and act as point of escalation for all internal escalations
*Review and maintain data processing records (Art 30. GDPR)

Skills
*You will have prior experience of working as a Privacy Subject Matter Expert in a Global organisation.
*Preference for candidates with a working knowledge of privacy on an international scale i.e. Americas, Asia
*Appropriate qualification such as CIPP/E or CIPP/M will enhance your application
