Lawrence Harvey are currently partnered with a Boston, MA based company; solely focused on autonomous systems in the defense industry. Together we are searching for a Senior Deep Learning Engineer to join an ever-growing R&D team.

As a company, they have a great reputation in the market and have an impressive roster of multi-million-dollar programs with the government. We are searching for experienced senior level engineers who are highly motivated to use Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision and Deep Learning to help save lives.

In this role, you will initially be tasked with a variety of individual contributor tasks such as:

• Prototype, validate and iterate new Computer Vision and Machine Learning algorithms.
• Optimize, productionize, monitor/refine performance of Machine Learning models.
• Enable other engineers on the team to be more effective through design and code that is easy to extend and contribute to.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background, similar to this:

• Industrial experience working within the Autonomous / Mobile Robotic world.
• A deep understanding of the mathematics behind the algorithms that can be applied to machine learning, and deep learning.
• Previous experience working with Python; with the ability to deploy perception algorithms in real world environments.
• Experienced with Deep Learning frameworks such as PyTorch, Tensorflow, KERAS, Caffe.
• Strong education background in a relevant field.
• Proposal writing skills are a great bonus.
