We are looking for a Senior Manager, Market Access Analytics and Insights for one of our pharmaceutical clients. This role will be providing insights on the market within specfic therapeutic areas. Understanding the landscape as the market and indentify the areas of opportunity will crucial in this role. This role will be responsible for identifing market access trends and shifts and developing perspectives on payer behaviors.
The ideal candidate will come from a background of analyzing health data to draw insights from that data.
Provides market insights across all therapeutic areas by leveraging in-depth knowledge of Market Access ( Payer, IDN, Trade) landscape, healthcare reform, claims data and managed care data
Conducts analytics and variance analysis in Market Access space across BUs (e.g., market share vs. relative access, access-driven over-/underperformance, net sales impacts of contracts (gross-to-net, etc.)
Identifies market access trends / shifts, develops perspectives on payer behaviors, and analyzes prescriber plans, preferred positioning, and market share and net sales
Coordinates with Market Access and Account teams
Coordinates with BUs & Insight Leads to ensure communication of managed markets insight
Supports queries on specific managed markets-related issues
Supports payer segmentation / prioritization
Proactively identifies additional data sources / requirements for the business
Provides quarterly updates to senior leadership on market access and market events
Responsible for working closely with senior members of market access and finance teams to report on channel mix and ASP by channel for forecasting and variance reporting purposes
Provides technical insights and trend analysis to the market access group and acts as a consultant to the brand and account groups.
Assist in providing support to build strategies for the market access team
Analyze and report on pull through strategies to measure effectiveness and lift of contracts
Bachelor's degree. MBA preferred.
7+ years of pharmaceutical experience, with at least 5 years in managed markets in an analytics capacity
Experience with Pharmaceutical Benefit Managers, Consulting or Managed Care companies a plus.
Analytical and/or technical proficiency at analyzing large data sets to derive insights, build models and forecast future business.
Knowledge in managed markets analysis, contracting (managed care, IDNs, government, GPO, etc.) and net sales analysis
Financial and business acumen including in-depth understanding of channel mix and gross-to-net/ASP
Experience with pharmaceutical data and data visualization tools
Proven database experience
Must have demonstrated an ability to prioritize and manage projects
Strong interpersonal and presentation skills and the ability to contribute individually and in team settings
Proficient verbal and written skills
Proficiency in Access, statistical tools, Excel, PowerPoint, and other analytical tools
