Job Description

Senior Security Researcher - Security Research, Malware Analysis, Reverse Engineering, Pen Testing/Attack - Boston, MA

My client is a pre-IPO, Gartner-ranked Security Vendor that specializes in automating detection of attacker behaviour and threats in the network by leveraging ML techniques and data science. Currently, they are looking for a Senior Security Researcher to join their Threat Labs team and report directly to the Chief Technology Officer.

You would be joining a first-class team of Security Researchers, responsible for working closely with the data science team to develop new detection models and data science algorithms. Your responsibilities and scope are extensive, from reverse engineering of malware, working with data scientists to move behavioural models to production code, hacker tactics reproduction, network protocol analysis, etc.

The ideal candidate is someone who lives and breathes Security and considers it a hobby, not just a 9-5 job. This is a senior-level position, and you are the Security Subject Matter expert within the team of data scientists in their Boston office. You will have a lot of autonomy to shape the projects you are working on.

The folks within this team right now have been there on average for 4+ years which is a testament to how well the company treats them and how gratifying the work is that they do. My client offers full support of additional training, conferences and certifications.

Key Skills:

  • Security research
  • Malware analysis (dynamic & static)
  • Penetration testing / attack experience - familiarity with attack frameworks is a must.
  • Proficiency with reverse engineering
  • Understanding of incident response processes
  • Software development experience (nice to have)

If you are interested in learning more about this opportunity, please email your resume to Anna Livingston at a.livingston@lawrenceharvey.com and/or call directly at 646 846 3370.
