2022 SO FAR…
The first half of 2022 has been remarkably successful for both the contract and permanent divisions at Lawrence Harvey, increasing headcount by 20%, and financial performance by 25% year on year. We continue to be the leading brand globally within the LHi Group which is largely down to the expertise in our core market areas, our strong relationships with clients and candidates, and our aggressive growth targets.
OUTLOOK FOR H2 2022 AND INTO 2023
We see our clients continue to have a high demand for the technologies that we specialise in both through the delivery of business-critical projects (contract) and overall headcount growth (permanent).
We predict lots of movement of candidates in the market as clients continue to seek top talent for their technology divisions.
2023 TRENDS
One of the areas that will be important for our contract division in 2023 is IR35. Seeing more clients taking a sensible approach to this area of the contract business is key to the delivery of critical projects all across the UK. More than 2 years on from the legislation change in April 2020, clients are now more experienced in the determination process and have some assurances that as long as the correct working practices are adopted, and the correct paperwork is in place, then they can continue to attract the best talent on the market.
THE MARKET FOCUS FOR 2023
We will continue to grow our core markets across Cloud, Data, and Cyber Security with both people and new clients/projects. The demand for expert contract and permanent candidates in these fields will continue to be high and we will be working with our clients to fulfill all of their needs in these spaces. Specific areas of growth for the contract team include Cyber Security, Data Privacy, and Cloud.
KEY ACCOUNTS
Both across our contract and permanent divisions we have a specialist Key Accounts team who focuses on delivering top service to our most valued clients. We have designed these teams to service our clients who have a range of technology recruitment needs and require fast delivery across multiple sectors.
PEOPLE
The people are what drives our business and with our headcount in London now reaching 100+ we are continuing to grow at a rapid speed and are about to open a new 150-person office in the heart of the city, which allows us to hire more new talent to work across both of our divisions.
