As our oldest brand at LHi, Lawrence Harvey has been on a significant journey since its inception in 2002.
Like the market, we have evolved, and our LA centres specialize in four main pillars:
- Cyber Security & Privacy
- Software & Mobile Engineering
- Data
- Cloud
Our approach is for our consultants to specialise within an inch-wide technology vertical in one of those domains to build a mile-deep knowledge and network to add the most value possible to clients and candidates within that market.
2022 SO FAR...
H1 2022 has seen Lawrence Harvey grow by over 70%, which is a testament to the hard work of all involved and a great sign of what’s to come! Unprecedented growth from a revenue perspective in 2022 has since the team over doubled in size throughout the year, identifying some exceptionally talented entry-level and senior hires.
It has also seen the launch of our dedicated contract team; offering short and long-term solutions at a rapid rate, whilst still focusing on quality. The team is well versed in finding top talent in a short space of time within Software & Mobile Engineering, in particular. Our permanent and contract teams work in tandem so that we can cover any and all needs across tech.
Having started the year with five people in the Lawrence Harvey brand in LA, we now head into Q3 with 16 people across the Permanent and Contract teams.
April saw us move into an unbelievable new office, one block from the beach in Santa Monica. This awesome new space has meant that on the events side, we have been exceptionally active. In our Privacy Team, Tessa attended the IAPP Privacy Summit in Washington DC and was asked to speak on a panel about hiring by the IAPP Silicon Valley. Jon Nice and the Cyber Security team have been hosting the monthly ISSA and OWASP meet-ups in our Santa Monica office. These talks have seen some exceptional speakers visiting the LHi Office, most notably the FBI talking all things Cyber Threat.
What’s next for Lawrence Harvey LA?
MARKET
Over focus over the next 12 months, we will be building depth into our current verticals to gather momentum and extra delivery capacity due to the sheer demand we are seeing in these verticals. The aim is to have a specific emphasis on Software & Mobile engineering (both permanent and contract) as this is where we foresee the most amount of demand, especially in the West Coast Tech community.
EVENTS
We will continue to partner with both the ISSA and OWASP on their monthly meet-ups for the Security community and plan to attend a number of industry events such as PrivacyOC and AppSec SoCal. We will also be hosting our first Technology leadership roundtable in Santa Monica.
HIRING
There’s no sign of our growth slowing down and we will continue to press ahead with hiring, predominantly focused on entry-level hires at the Associate Consultant level, but also Leadership roles within both Software Engineering and Data.
