I'm currently working with an early-stage protocol company building privacy preserving infrastructure for Web3, with zero knowledge technology and consensus design at the core of the stack, who are looking for a Senior Protocol Engineer to help design, build, and maintain the distributed systems underpinning their network.

 

This is a hands-on engineering role working closely with both engineers and leadership, turning a strong technical vision into shipped product each quarter. The business is building privacy preserving protocols and developer tooling designed to make zero knowledge technology accessible and usable, rather than an afterthought bolted onto existing infrastructure.

 

You'll be working deep in distributed systems and consensus logic while also helping make that work accessible to product teams through clean interfaces and APIs.

Responsibilities

  • Engineer core distributed system components including consensus logic, memory-mapped databases, networking stacks, and synchronisation logic, built to be performant, safe, and correct.
  • Take a lead role in consensus mechanism design and implementation, working through the trade-offs of safety, liveness, and performance at protocol level.
  • Support infrastructure engineers in maintaining monitoring and alerting systems to ensure high uptime and fast debugging.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation, responding promptly to production incidents and outages.
  • Wrap key protocol functionality in clean interfaces and APIs to make it accessible to product teams.
  • Communicate technical ideas clearly across engineering and leadership to align on quarterly deliverables.

 

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience.
  • 2 to 3+ years of professional Rust experience.
  • Strong understanding of consensus mechanisms, with experience designing or working closely with consensus logic in a production system.
  • Strong foundation in blockchain concepts, ideally with experience contributing to a blockchain project.
  • Low-level systems programming and/or distributed systems design experience.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively across engineering and leadership to turn technical vision into shipped deliverables.

Their mission is to challenge traditional cloud monopolies by creating a resilient, open-source alternative designed to operate at global scale, leveraging decentralised architecture and blockchain-backed guarantees around reliability and security.

 

They’re now looking for a Staff-level Software Engineer to play a key role in designing and building the core systems that power this distributed cloud platform. This includes working on blockchain-backed reliability mechanisms, provider orchestration, networking layers, and operational pipelines that must remain robust under adversarial conditions, hardware heterogeneity, and real-world failure modes.

 

Working primarily in Golang, you’ll build and operate large-scale distributed systems on top of Kubernetes, collaborating closely with engineers across infrastructure, DevOps, and protocol teams. This role carries significant influence over architectural decisions, scalability strategies, and the long-term technical direction of the platform.

Senior dApps Engineer

I'm currently working with an early-stage blockchain infrastructure company building a genuinely novel approach to on-chain data, queryable storage built directly into the protocol layer, removing the need for external indexers entirely. They're looking for a Senior dApp Engineer to own the web surfaces that developers and users will interact with at mainnet launch and beyond.

 

This is a hands-on technical role reporting into the Head of Platform, owning the flagship Bridge UI and smart-contract integration across user-facing surfaces. The team is small and highly capable, and this hire will set the quality bar for Web3 UX across the product.

 

You'll remain deeply technical while taking ownership of client-side observability, code standards, and cross-team collaboration with Protocol and DevRel.

 

Responsibilities

  • Own the Bridge UI end-to-end - L2 to L3 token transfers, wallet connect, network switching, signing, status tracking, and edge-case handling including stuck transactions and RPC failures.
  • Lead smart-contract integration across user-facing surfaces, debugging failed transactions and decoding calldata using Tenderly or similar.
  • Write minor Solidity contracts in Foundry (faucets, helpers) and pair with the Senior Solidity Engineer on bridge and account abstraction flows.

Requirements

  • 3+ years production TypeScript or JavaScript, with real shipped applications.
  • Hands-on experience with a major frontend framework (React, Vue, Svelte or similar) and Node.js.
  • Strong Web3 frontend experience with wagmi, viem, ethers.js or equivalents, including multi-wallet integration and knowledge of wallet-specific quirks.
  • Solidity reading proficiency: able to integrate ABIs, debug failed transactions, decode calldata, and understand gas, nonces, and replacement transactions.
  • Comfortable writing minor contracts in Foundry and familiar with EIP-1559, EIP-712, ERC-20/721/4626, and ERC-4337 basics.

  • Maintain strong testing discipline across unit tests, integration tests, and performance engineering.
  • Write protocol specifications and API documentation for the features you build.

Requirements

  • Strong production proficiency in Rust, including ownership, lifetimes, async, and zero cost abstractions.
  • Strong foundation in data structures and algorithms, with the ability to reason about complexity, memory layout, and throughput.
  • Systems programming experience, with comfort in concurrency and performance profiling.
  • Ideally, experience designing database systems or high throughput data infrastructure (RocksDB, MDBX, or similar).
  • Understanding of blockchain fundamentals including consensus, execution, and state management; prior work on nodes or clients is a strong plus.
  • A testing mindset, writing tests that let you refactor and move quickly with confidence.

 

Strong plus: Contributions to reth or other Ethereum clients, designing database or storage systems from the ground up, open source contributions to relevant projects, solidity reading proficiency
