The Company Our client is a publicly traded telecommunications company that builds cloud communications for businesses: voice, chat, and contact center products used by companies around the world.
They are bringing out a new greenfield AI product and are now seeking a talented AI Product Engineer to join the team.
The roleYou will own the new AI product end to end: plan it, architect it, build it, deploy it, test it, and ship it. You work with real autonomy and make the technical calls yourself, rather than routing every decision through leadership.
You won't be working alone. You'll join daily standups with their AI team, collaborate with developers across a globally distributed engineering organization, and work closely with product and business stakeholders. You'll partner directly with our COO, who sponsors the product.
We're looking for a seasoned engineer who has fully embraced AI-assisted development and still holds a high bar: you ship fast with AI tools, review every pull request rigorously, and never compromise on security or architecture.
What you'll do• As AI Product Engineer you'll own the AI product roadmap from technical strategy through each release cycle• Design and evolve the architecture for long-running, autonomous AI agents with memory, tools, permissions, and human oversight• Build agents that operate real business software through browser automation (Playwright and Chromium)• Take the product from internal prototype to production with paying customers, including deployment, monitoring, and QA• Set the standard for secure, AI-assisted engineering: review PRs rigorously, enforce security practices, and keep code quality high• Make clear build, buy, and restructure decisions across the stack, including changing what isn't working• Work with customers and stakeholders to turn real workflows (invoicing, spreadsheets, ticketing) into reliable agent capabilities• Share progress in daily standups and keep leadership informed without needing to be managed
What you'll bring• Significant experience as a software engineer, with a track record of owning products end to end, from architecture through release• Production experience shipping LLM-powered agents to real users, not just demos or research prototypes• Strong system design skills and a security-first mindset, especially around permissions, credentials, and agents acting on users' behalf• Deep, daily use of AI-assisted development tools, paired with the judgment to review and correct what they produce• Comfort working autonomously: you plan your own work, make decisions, and unblock yourself• Product sense and a customer focus; you care whether the agent actually saves someone time• Clear communication with both engineers and non-technical stakeholders
This role is not a fit for engineers who avoid AI tools, or for those who rely on AI-generated code without the architectural depth to own it. It is also not a model-research role: we build on top of foundation models rather than training them.
Tech stack: TypeScript, Node.js, Web front end Next.js, React 19, Mobile React Native, Expo, Agents LLM agent engineering, Playwright, Chromium, Web Sockets, GCP, Kubernetes (AWS experience also welcome)
Nice to have• Experience at a browser automation, AI developer tooling, or agent framework company• Background building agents that operate inside third-party SaaS tools (Google Workspace, ticketing, accounting)• Experience with real-time voice, telephony, or communications products• Early-stage or founding-engineer experience taking a product from prototype to first customers
What’s in it for you?• Competitive compensation package • Own a new agentic AI product end to end with real autonomy and direct access to leadership• A working prototype already exists and is in use, so the hire builds on real momentum and ships to customers within months• A genuinely ambitious product: AI agents that act as colleagues, not chatbots• Greenfield, modern stack, with freedom to restructure it• A profitable public company
If this AI Product Engineer role sounds like you, then please apply today!

I'm currently supporting a leading automotive manufacturer on a search for a Senior Production Engineer Specialist to take ownership of its E-Coat / electrodeposition (ED) paint and pretreatment processes at its Hopkinsville, Kentucky manufacturing operation.
This is a hands-on, plant-based role focused on paint application chemistry, E-Coat bath control, coating quality, defect diagnosis, process troubleshooting, and environmental compliance. You'll serve as a technical owner for an approximately 11–12 stage wet-process coating system, supporting the process from rinses and pretreatment/etch stages through the electrodeposition paint bath.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong E-Coat, industrial paint, pretreatment, surface treatment, or chemical process experience who enjoys hands-on troubleshooting, process ownership, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and optimize E-Coat/ED coating, pretreatment, rinse, and associated chemical processes, controlling critical parameters including pH, conductivity, bath solids, chemical concentration, temperature, voltage, pressure, and flow.
- Manage bath chemistry, titration results, chemical additions, replenishment, filtration, and preventative bath maintenance, partnering closely with chemical suppliers.
- Diagnose coating-quality issues including adhesion failures, poor coverage, thickness variation, contamination, blisters, craters, runs/sags, appearance issues, and corrosion failures.
- Analyze laboratory, process, production, and equipment data to identify abnormalities, determine root cause, and lead corrective actions using A3, PDCA, 8-Step, or similar methodologies.
- Develop standardized work instructions, process limits, control plans, reaction plans, troubleshooting procedures, and best-practice documentation, while coaching technicians and plant personnel.
- Support wastewater treatment, environmental compliance, equipment reliability, process trials, capital improvements, commissioning, and new model/production-readiness activities.
Key Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of relevant E-Coat, ED coating, industrial paint, pretreatment, surface treatment, corrosion protection, or chemical process experience preferred; candidates with 2–3+ years of highly relevant experience will also be considered.
- Strong knowledge of paint/coating chemistry, bath management, titration, chemical additions, surface preparation, pretreatment, and corrosion protection.
- Proven ability to diagnose coating defects and process abnormalities using chemistry, laboratory results, process data, equipment conditions, and quality testing.
- Hands-on manufacturing experience with strong process ownership, structured problem-solving, leadership, and the ability to coach technicians and collaborate across Production, Quality, Maintenance, Environmental, and Engineering teams.
- Experience with wastewater treatment, reverse osmosis, filtration, environmental compliance, and standardized process documentation is highly desirable.
- Automotive experience is preferred, although relevant experience from heavy equipment, appliances, canning, oil & gas, or other industrial coating environments will be considered. Allen-Bradley/Rockwell PLC exposure and paint/coating certifications are additional pluses.
If you have a strong background in E-Coat/ED coating, paint application chemistry, pretreatment, or industrial coating processes and are looking for an opportunity to take ownership of a critical manufacturing process, I'd love to speak with you.
