Director of Business Development - Public Policy Consulting (Technology) - Washington, DC (Hybrid)

I have been engaged by the world's leading public policy consultancy focused on technology on a search for a development leader. The New Business team is the “tip of the spear” for our clients Go-To-Market strategy. Individuals in this team are tasked with securing new logos.

 

Role: Director of Business Development 

Location: Washington, DC (Hybrid - 2 Days)

Compensation: $200-$250k Base + Commission (TBC)

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Convert viable prospects into active clients owning the full sales conversation and negotiation 
    process, collaborating with Practice Directors and Client Services peers, to ensure an effective 
    handover
  • Continually build a pipeline of opportunities to deliver against targets such as total contract value 
    and in year revenue
  • Leads the development of proposals or responses to bids and presents high quality pitches for 
    complex and/or high value opportunities

 

Experience:

  • Demonstrable experience of delivering successful revenue growth
  • Experience selling disruptive new products and services 
  • Extensive experience working alongside business leadership and consulting teams to leverage 
    their respective personal brand channels and grow revenue
  • Analytical and financial acumen in building and delivering successful new business development
    models, with associated risk parameters
  • A compelling communicator or storyteller. Able to convey gravitas and exert influence with 
    internal and external audiences, clients, and partners.

A well regarded client based are hiring for a Dayforce Consultant for a short-term advisory contract.

You will provide expert advisory services in the form of a comprehensive review and strategic roadmap for the current Dayforce suite. This is a short-term, contract-based position focused on evaluating the existing system, identifying areas for optimisation, and advising on the requirements necessary to support the next project phase.

This is an Outside IR35 position for 3 months. This is a hybrid model to client site when needed. This could vary from once/twice per week to 4 days per week.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience working with Ceridian Dayforce, including system analysis, configuration, and project advisory roles.
  • Strong expertise in Dayforce modules (e.g., Payroll, HR, Workforce Management, Benefits) and a proven track record of guiding organisations through Dayforce project phases.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess complex HRIS systems and provide strategic, actionable recommendations.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts to executive stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices for HRIS, HR Shared Services and payroll systems.
