Senior Software Engineer – React, Python, GCP

 

After a successful first year, a fast-growing scale-up is expanding its engineering function and is looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to help develop it's flagship product as well as build and design new products, including exploring agentic AI!

 

This role offers the opportunity to work in a modern, cloud-native environment, delivering high-quality, scalable applications across the full stack. You’ll collaborate closely with product, platform, and DevOps teams, taking ownership of features end-to-end from technical design and architecture through to build, test, and deployment.

 

You’ll play a key role in shaping engineering best practices, influencing architectural decisions, and mentoring others, while contributing directly to the development of secure, data-driven SaaS solutions used at scale.

 

Location: Leeds – 2 Days Per Week

Salary: £70,000 to £90,000 + 15% Bonus + Benefits

 

To be considered:

  • 5+ years’ experience as a Full Stack Engineer, ideally within SaaS or cloud-native environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with React on the front end and Python on the back end.
  • Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and modern application architecture.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms (preferably GCP) and managed databases.
  • Strong SQL experience, with exposure to NoSQL an advantage.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and containerised environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.

What You’ll Be Working On

  • Developing real-time recommendation systems surfaced directly to pilots and operations teams
  • Designing and implementing highly interactive, data-dense UIs used in high-stakes operational environments (similar in complexity to an IDE)
  • Working on a desktop application built with Rust, Tauri, and TypeScript/React, deployed directly to customer machines
  • Contributing to a second product extending the platform into a mobile (iPad) application for pilots

We're working with a systemically important financial market infrastructure firm that sits at the center of the global foreign exchange ecosystem. The organization operates critical settlement and risk-management infrastructure used by thousands of counterparties worldwide, processing trillions of dollars in transactions daily.

 

Because of the scale, complexity, and regulatory scrutiny of the environment, technology, cyber, and data risk management are core to the firm’s stability and mission. They are hiring a Director-level leader to head their second line of defense Cyber and Information Risk Independent Review function.

 

What This Role Is Responsible For

This role sits within the Risk Management organization and reports to senior leadership responsible for Technology and Information Security Risk.

 

The Director leads the design, execution, and oversight of independent reviews assessing whether information security and data management programs are effective in mitigating key risks and meeting firm risk appetite.

 

The role is highly engaged with enterprise Information Security and Data Management teams, while remaining independent of control ownership.

 

Scope and Accountability:

 

Strategic Leadership

  • Drive a strong risk culture focused on accountability, transparency, and credible challenge
  • Define and lead the independent review strategy for cyber and data risk
  • Influence across a complex, matrixed global organization without direct authority
  • Establish priorities for horizontal and thematic risk reviews based on emerging threats, incidents, and regulatory expectations
  • Partner with senior risk leadership to align cyber and data risk oversight with enterprise and operational risk frameworks

 

Independent Risk Reviews

  • Lead firm-wide reviews of key information security and data management risks
  • Identify gaps in control design and coverage and recommend risk-reducing enhancements
  • Conduct thematic reviews of operational risk events and remediation initiatives
  • Challenge whether remediation actions are sufficient and sustainable

 

Risk Remediation Oversight

  • Review and challenge remediation plans for adequacy, feasibility, and regulatory alignment
  • Monitor execution of remediation actions across multiple stakeholders
  • Escalate concerns where remediation does not sufficiently reduce risk
  • Ensure issues are closed with appropriate evidence and governance approval

Required experience includes:

  • 7+ years leading cyber, information security, or data risk governance functions

We are looking for an experienced Dynamics 365 CRM Functional Consultant/Business Analyst to support a busy Sales and Customer Service environment. You will act as the bridge between the business and the technical team, owning triage, requirements shaping and functional solution definition.

Solution Engineer - Metering Solutions

Role: Metering Solution Engineer 

Length: Initial 6-month engagement 

Location: Fully Remote

Pay Rate: £300 - £375 per day

One of my consultancy clients are currently looking to build out a team of Metering Solution Engineers on an initial 6-month engagement, this role and project will kick off from the beginning of March and will operate on a fully remote basis. They are interested in Solution Engineers with specialist experience in metering technologies, instrumentation, and automation.

Key Requirements

  • Metering device skills: ability to select the right device following site assessments, install them (Elec, Mech, IT, Environment), integrate them (IT/OT architecture) and configure them 
  • Experience with floor walks, technical metering assessments (hands on) and offering solutions for metering skills
  • Life science experience is a plus
  • Leads site-level technical coordination for metering deployments
  • Participates to site surveys (so will travel a lot at the beginning) and assessments as OT technical expert (instrumentation + IT/OT integration)
  • Strong specialist in metering technologies, instrumentation, and automation
  • Designs and validates connectivity architecture (PLCs, SCADA, gateways, PME)
  • Oversees configuration, commissioning, and interface validation
  • Ensures cybersecurity compliance with the support of the Cyber SME in the central team
  • Reports to Project managers in each Cluster (by Geo) and the lead architect in the central technical team

IT Transformation Lead

Lawrence Harvey are working with a leading company that is launching a large-scale IT initiative in 2026 to redefine its IT architecture and landscape, accelerating its transition to a more digitally enabled organisation.

As part of this programme, they are seeking a Senior IT Transformation Lead to provide leadership across IT architecture and projects. The role will focus on a comprehensive review of the current IT landscape and the definition of a future-state IT strategy for 2026, spanning both architecture and project delivery.

This is an Outside IR35 position with a flexible rate depending on experience for an initial 6 months, with an extremely likely chance of extension and the aim to start in February.

This is a hybrid position with weekly travel 2-3 days per week to Central London, near Bank. 

Requirements:

  • Proven enterprise architecture and IT governance experience, including operating in federated or multi-division environments and supporting large-scale IT transformation.
  • Strong project and delivery governance capability, with hands-on experience across waterfall, agile, hybrid and DevOps, and a clear understanding of what good delivery looks like in practice.
  • Broad technical and architectural literacy across applications, data, integration and infrastructure, including cloud, SaaS/COTS, custom solutions and modern integration patterns (APIs, iPaaS, event-driven).
  • Ability to assess and guide architectural change, simplifying fragmented landscapes, modernising platforms, and ensuring solutions meet standards for security, scalability, resilience and lifecycle management.
  • Strategic yet pragmatic leadership capability, translating business and IT strategy into clear architectural principles, guardrails, governance frameworks and actionable plans without needing to design solutions personally.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, able to communicate fluently between business and technical teams, with C-Suite management experience essential
