This National STEM Day, we caught up with Cameron Turner, Cryptography and Cyber Security Recruitment Consultant, to hear his thoughts on what makes STEM such an exciting space to work in, and how the next generation of talent can make their mark.
What excites you most about working in STEM recruitment?
The industry evolves so quickly, and being at the intersection of talent and progress means I get to stay close to cutting-edge developments, whether that’s in AI, blockchain, biotechnology, or engineering.
What advice would you give to someone just starting out in a STEM career?
Continuously want to learn and develop, especially in my sector, blockchain, opensource development and continuously being inquisitive will continue to push the boundaries and open doors.
In your opinion, what makes Lawrence Harvey stand out in the STEM recruitment space?
The multiple platforms in which a variety of consultants have given for multiple audiences and demographics to voice their opinions. As tech has evolved so have we.
How do you see STEM shaping the future of technology and innovation?
Innovation is moving at a scarily fast pace- Bill Gates - STEM is at the heart of major tech and societal transformation and could ultimately bring the world together.
